INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The heat is on for today and will last all the way into the weekend as well. Heat indices or feels like temperatures will likely stay into the ’90s just below heat advisory criteria. We’ll look for several dry days as this hot and humid pattern sticks around.
TODAY: Mostly sunny skies throughout the day today it’s going to be warm and muggy. High temperature is climbing into the upper 80s which is a few degrees above normal for this time of year. Feels like temperatures will likely be right around the lower 90s today with the higher humidity.
TONIGHT: If you were heading to the Indianapolis Indians game tonight it will be dry and very muggy. Later on tonight we could see a few spotty showers especially in the northern sections of Indiana. Much of Central Indiana will just stay quiet, mild and muggy as well. A few clouds around with lows falling into the upper ’60s near 70.
TOMORROW: Lots of sunshine for your Friday, hot and humid to end the work week. Temperatures will climb into the upper ’80s right around 90°. We will see heat indices or feels like temperatures climbing into the low and middle ’90s on Friday. Dry conditions continue today and also heading into the weekend.
7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Lots of sunshine on Saturday it’s going to be hot and humid. Look for highs right around 90. Similar conditions on Sunday Sunny skies, hot and humid with highs near 90. Both days we will see heat indices or feels like temperatures into the mid ’90s. Night time lows will stay into the ’70s with very mild and muggy conditions.
Next week starts off hot and humid with high temperatures into the upper ’80s near 90. We will see a few spotty showers or thunderstorms on your Tuesday with temperature staying on the hot side.
