Gov. Braun to consider bill to create military police response force
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A bill to create a dedicated military police response force within the Indiana National Guard has been sent to the governor for his signature into law.
Both chambers approved a conference committee report for the bill on Friday.
The force would be limited to Army military police and Air Force security forces personnel.
The bill also sets income limits for the military family relief fund. If signed into law, families would have to prove a hardship and could not make more than double the poverty level.
News 8 first reported on the bill in January.
This story was created from a script aired on WISH-TV.
