Fire damages concrete cutting business in Lebanon
LEBANON, Ind. (WISH) — A fire on Wednesday afternoon significantly damaged a concrete cutting business just a few blocks west of the Boone County Courthouse, the Lebanon Fire Department said in a social media post.
No one was hurt in the fire reported just before 3 p.m. at 120 N. Blair St. The social media post did not provide the name of the business.
Lebanon Police Department officers were the first to arrive at the fire. Firefighters arrived shortly after and managed to control the blaze within an hour.
Witnesses reported hearing an explosion at the site, and the business owner noted that flammable liquids were stored in the building.
Investigators found that the accidental fire began near a portable hydraulic machine in the workshop. Video showed a small fire starting near the machine’s battery.
