INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Fever announced on Sunday that it has signed guard Odyssey Sims to a hardship contract.
The Fever were able to qualify for a hardship roster spot due to the injuries to guards Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald.
Sims played in 12 games for the Los Angeles Sparks this season. She averaged 9.8 points and 3.5 assists per game with the Sparks this year. She was waived by the Sparks in July.
Sims has played for multiple teams over the course of her career. She played with the Tulsa Shock (2014-15), Dallas Wings (2016, 2023-24), Los Angeles Sparks (2017-18, 2024-25), Minnesota Lynx (2019-20, 2022), Atlanta Dream (2021) and Connecticut Sun (2022).
She was named a WNBA All-Star during the 2019 season.
Overall, she has averaged 11.2 points per game throughout her WNBA career.
Sims was drafted second overall in the 2014 WNBA Draft.
She will wear No. 1 for the Fever.
The Fever is back in action Tuesday at home against the Dallas Wings. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. EDT.
