Feeling miserable Saturday with scattered rain and storms expected | Jul. 11, 2025

July 11 | Evening Forecast with Chief Meteorologist Keith Gibson

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — This hot and miserably humid air we ended the workweek with extends into Saturday. We’ll also track showers and storms as well this weekend.

Friday night: We’re in for a very warm night with lows in the mid 70s.

Saturday: Prepare for an active day with miserable humidity that will make us feel closer to 100 degrees at times. Spotty showers are possible Saturday morning before we see scattered showers, downpours, storms form in the afternoon hours. Coverage looks to back off to more isolated fashion into early Saturday night. Overall, this is not an all day rain event, but you will want to monitor radar if your planning on being outside later in the day especially.

There is a low severe risk for isolated strong to severe storms Saturday afternoon and evening. A slightly higher severe risk is in place from Muncie and points northeast. Damaging winds are the primary concern, but we will also watch out for localized flooding.

Highs in the low 90s.

Sunday: We’ll keep scattered rain and storm chances in place through Sunday as a cold front slows down even further. Best chance for activity will be near and south of interstate 70 at this time. We also cannot rule out isolated strong to severe storms Sunday for areas mainly southwest of Indy, but this risk could shift farther northeast. Wind is the main threat once again.

Highs in the mid to upper 80s with dew point values in the upper 60s to low 70s.

7-Day Forecast: A slight drop in dew point values is expected for early next week, but it will still feel uncomfortable with highs in the upper 80s. Additional rain and storm chances will slide in by next Wednesday and Thursday.
