INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A nice day today with a brief break in the humidity. We will look for hot and incredibly humid conditions this weekend. We may see heat indices getting close to the triple digits.

TODAY: Lots of sunshine for the day today It will be a little less humid for the afternoon. Look for dry conditions throughout all of your Thursday with high temperatures climbing into the mid and upper ’80s. Heat indices or feels like temperatures will be in the lower ’90s.

TONIGHT: Overnight will look for mostly clear skies and temperatures dropping into the upper ’60s.

TOMORROW: It will be incredibly hot and humid heading into your Friday. Look for lots of sunshine with high temperatures climbing near 90. We have seen 24, 90 degree days so far this year and we will continue to add to that tally throughout the weekend.

7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: We may see the hottest day of the year this weekend. Look for hot and humid conditions on Saturday and mostly sunny skies. High temperatures will be climbing into the lower 90s with heat indices getting close to the triple digits. Sunday will be the hottest day with temperatures into the mid ’90s. Heat indices could be into the triple digits. As we begin next week temperatures will stay into the low and middle ’90s on Monday. Partly cloudy skies. It will continue to be hot and humid with feels like temperatures into the upper ’90s near 100. Some storm chances will arrive late Monday stretching into Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures do drop into the mid ’80s for the middle part of the work week. 

Tropical storm Erin that is out in the Atlantic right now will likely form into a hurricane by the weekend. It looks like it will stay away from the US mainland over the weekend and into early next week as it makes a turn off to the right.
