INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police are investigating after a shooting took place near a park on Indy’s far east side Saturday night.
At approximately 8:13 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 3000 block of North German Church Road on the report of a person shot.
That location is a field located next to Grassy Creek Regional Park on East 30th Street.
When officers arrived, they did not locate a person shot. However, 10 minutes later, IMPD said a person who had been shot walked into Community Hospital East.
As of 9 p.m. Saturday, IMPD said the victim’s condition is unknown.
