INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Dry, warm, and more humid days are ahead for the end of August and start of September.  Heat indices around 100 are possible again next week.  

THURSDAY NIGHT:

Mainly clear skies with lows ranging from the lower 60s to upper 50s.  A near total lunar eclipse will occur from 10:13 PM EDT to 1:52 AM EDT.  The maximum eclipse for our area will occur at 12:13 AM.  You can look at this with your naked eyes, it’ll be a sight to behold.  

FRIDAY:

Mostly sunny with highs in the lower 80s.  Conditions look great again for week #2 of high school football and the Zone with temperature falling into the 70s during the evening.

FRIDAY NIGHT:

Mostly clear with lows in the 60s and 50s.

WEEKEND: 

Mostly sunny skies continue on Saturday along with highs in the mid 80s.  We’ll be pushing 90 on Sunday under partly cloudy skies. Perhaps a stray shower Sunday AM across Northern Indiana? Overnight lows will warm from the 60s Saturday night to the low 70s by Sunday night and Monday morning. 

NEXT WEEK:

Southerly winds will allow warm & humid air to flow freely back into Indiana. Look for highs in the low to mid 90s with much warmer heat indices, some of which will be around or over 100. 

Muggy overnight lows in the 70s return as well.  Some spotty rain/storms could develop but the chance appears low until maybe Wednesday or Thursday.
