INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis 500 qualifying is scheduled to begin on Saturday. All 33 drivers will attempt to qualify, with positions 16-33 locked in on Saturday. The top 15 drivers will advance to Sunday.

Qualifying is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 5:50 p.m. on Saturday.
On Sunday, the final 15 qualifying determines positions 13-15. Saturday’s positions 10-15 compete for the final three spots in the Fast 12. Then, in the Fast 12, positions 7-12 are determined, with the top six speeds advancing to the Firestone Fast Six. There, the pole winner for the Indianapolis 500 is determined.
