Marcus’ 4 a.m. Monday forecast
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Dry and beautiful weather will open the week before storm chances return mid-week.
We will carry over the beautiful Mother’s Day weekend weather into the start of the work week. Expect plenty of sunshine, with maybe just a few scattered clouds developing later this afternoon. High temperatures should top out in the upper 60s and lower 70s, close to the average of 72°.

Quiet weather continues overnight with dry conditions and cool temperatures. Lows will dip into the mid-40s.

Tuesday looks relatively quiet, with sunshine early and clouds building later in the day. High temperatures will reach the mid-70s.

Rain returns Tuesday night.
A cold front will move through the region during the early to mid-evening hours. The best chance for showers and thunderstorms will be during that time frame.
A few storms could be on the stronger side, mainly north and west of the metro area, with isolated damaging wind gusts possible.

Wednesday
Some lingering showers before daybreak on Wednesday should quickly move out. Cooler Canadian high pressure will build in behind the cold front, dropping temperatures back to the 50s by the afternoon hours. Winds will gust between 25 and 35 mph during the day, making it feel much colder.
Late-week warm-up
Temperatures will rebound quickly by the end of the week, with highs reaching the mid-70s on Friday. We will likely see readings climb back into the low to mid-80s as we head into the upcoming weekend.
With the warmer air, more muggy conditions will also settle in. This will bring isolated and scattered rain chances starting Friday and continuing into the weekend, resulting in a more summer-like pattern across our area.
