INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — IMPD says a man was stabbed Sunday evening in downtown Indy near Monument Circle.
At approximately 8:28 p.m. officers were dispatched to East Market Street and North Delaware and arrived to find someone stabbed.
Lt. Frank Wooten told News 8 that the victim is a 44-year-old Black man, but did not release his name. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Police say this incident is believed to have stemmed from “a disturbance” between multiple people and the victim.
Police are currently on the scene investigating and trying to obtain video surveillance from local business.
At this time, police say they do not have a suspect description.
