2 bodies found in Lawrence County river bring Indiana flooding death toll to 3

BEDFORD, Ind. (WISH) — At least three people have died in Indiana flooding after two more bodies were found Tuesday in floodwaters in Lawrence County.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources said in a release stating that conservation officers recovered the bodies of two missing motorists shortly before noon Tuesday in the floodwaters of the East Fork of the White River in Lawrence County.

21-year-old Kasee Allman and 35-year-old Jesse Brock, both of Bedford, were found dead in the pickup truck they were last known to be in. Officers had been searching for the pair after their family and friends reported them missing late Sunday night.

Officers said they found the truck in 8 feet of water.

WISHTV.com previously reported that searchers also found body 55-year-old Bradley Deaton, of Seymour, just before 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Jackson County. Deaton disappeared after an airboat capsized around 7:20 a.m. Friday near County Road 400 East and State Road 258, and near the unincorporated community of Cortland. That’s about 3 miles west of Seymour, near Indian Creek.

An 82-year-old Fortville man is still missing after the truck he was driving was swept off a flooded road Monday in Martin County, according to a news release issued Tuesday afternoon from the Department of Natural Resources.
