TIPTON, Ind. (WISH) — A fatal crash in northern Hamilton County has left much of U.S. 31 southbound closed for several miles.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office first reported abut the crash on Facebook around 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

It was unclear how many vehicles were involved or if anyone else was hurt.

INDOT traffic maps show U.S. 31 is closed from IN-28 to 236th Street, or from the 140- to 148-mile markers.
