SPRINGPORT, Ind. (WISH) — A man from Springport, Indiana, is dead after being struck by a vehicle while he was experiencing a medical episode.
At 1:04 p.m. Saturday, deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 1400 block of East County Road 750 North on a report of a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Deputies arrived and found an 84-year-old man, identified as Robert Anthony Parks, 84, of Springport, dead at the scene.
Investigators believe Parks had fallen into the road in a shaded area due to a medical issue. Shortly after, Parks was struck by a passing vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
Henry County detectives are investigating the incident.
