PERU, Ind. (WISH) — A 43-year-old man from Peru, Indiana, has been arrested for possession of child sex abuse material, according to Indiana State Police.
The investigation began in July 2025 after a complaint was received regarding a person distributing child sex abuse material. The Miami County Prosecutor’s Office issued a search warrant for the residence of Jason L. Jessup, 43, of Peru. During the execution of the search warrant, multiple electronic devices containing child sex abuse material were seized.
On Wednesday, The Miami Superior Court ll issued an arrest warrant for Jessup. Members of the Indiana State Police Peru Post executed this warrant, taking Jessup into custody without incident. Jessup was transported to the Miami County Jail.
Jessup is being preliminarily charged with 10 counts of possession of child sex abuse material.
