Indianapolis police arrest man for 2 overdose deaths
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 44-year-old Indianapolis man has been charged with dealing drugs that caused two overdose deaths, online court records show.
Kadeem Roache is scheduled for an initial hearing on Wednesday morning in Marion Superior Court 7 on two top-level felony counts of dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death. A $10,000 bond was set for Roache, and he was no longer listed as an inmate in the Marion County jail on Tuesday night.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department on Tuesday said the deaths happened Aug. 11. Officers had responded to a welfare check at a residence on Riverside East Drive and found two unresponsive woman. One woman died at the scene, while the other died later at a hospital. Investigators later learned Roache sold drugs to the two women
IMPD said the arrest marked the ninth by its Overdose Death Task Force since its inception in 2024.
