INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a police shooting on the city’s northeast side Saturday.
According to a post on X by IMPD at 7 p.m. Saturday, a police shooting occurred in the 2400 block of 38th Street. That is near the intersection of 38th Street and Keystone Avenue on the city’s northeast side.
No officers were injured in the incident.
The alleged suspect was not injured in the shooting and is in custody. IMPD officials do not believe anyone else was involved, and there is no threat to public safety. The alleged suspect was taken into custody near East 39th Street and North Tacoma Avenue.
Investigators did not immediately provide any additional information on this incident.
