FRANKFORT, Ind. (WISH) — A road will be closed for four hours after a train derailed in Frankfort Wednesday, according to a 1:35 p.m. social media post from the Frankfort Police Department.
Roy Scott Parkway between State Road 28 West and West Barner Street is closed due to a train derailment. According to police, the train slid off the tracks, but there are no leaks or hazards to the public.
Investigators advise that residents and passersby avoid the area and use alternate crossings at County Road 300 West or in Frankfort. All businesses remain accessible from their respective sides of the tracks.
