INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Hammond Police Department was seeking the public’s help finding a missing woman with Alzheimer’s disease.
Dorothy Harris was described as a Black female, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 120 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a zebra print scarf, black sweatshirt, black pants, and a black sparkly tennis shoes.
The police department says she was last seen walking away from a Walmart in north Hammond between 11:40 a.m. and 12:40 p.m.
Information provided in the Silver Alert places Harris’ age at 79, but Hammond police said in a social media post earlier Sunday afternoon Harris is 71.
Harris is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical attention.
