INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The only Hoosier President of the United States Benjamin Harrison will celebrate his 192nd birthday on Wednesday – and you’re invited!
Birthday festivities are the milestone of the day at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, offering free first floor tours and complimentary birthday treats at his home in Indianapolis.
Tours are set from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tour check-in will be at the Welcome Center, located in the red barn behind the home.
During the tour, you will walk through Benjamin Harrison’s beautiful 1875 Italianate Victorian home and be greeted by reenactors portraying Harrison and his family.
You will be able to say hello to the butler in the back parlor, see what the cooks are making in the kitchen, and speak with Mrs. Harrison in the dining room.
This interactive experience is free. Suggested age is 5 years old and up.
