Festival chair talks about helping students back in school

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Council on Educating Students of Color will host the We Care Community Festival & Education Summit on Saturday to help kids who’ve returned to school.

The festival aims to provide more than just academic readiness for students who have returned to class, offering a community-focused event.

Daniel Pierson, the festival chair, was interviewed as part of the “UnPHILtered” conversation series with Phil Sanchez, which aired Tuesday night on WISH-TV.

The event will start at 10 a.m. Saturday at Washington Park Community Center, 3130 E. 30th St.
