8-18-25 Indiana Bacon Festival

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The 12th annual Indiana Bacon Festival is set to take place this weekend in downtown Delphi, celebrating the state’s rich pork production heritage with food, music, and community events.

The festival, organized by the local chamber of commerce, highlights Indiana’s status as a leading pork producer, with Indiana Packers Corporation playing a key role. Attendees can enjoy offerings from 19 food vendors, each featuring at least one bacon-themed item, alongside a variety of entertainment options.

“We do give back to the community, and in the last 11 years, we’ve given over a quarter of a million dollars back to local nonprofits,” Madison Kauffman, who has been involved with the festival for four years, explained.

The festival not only focuses on bacon but also offers a wide range of activities for all ages. There will be live music, including performances by cover bands such as SOS of Sweden and Majesty, a tribute to Queen. A beer garden, kid zone with inflatables and face painting, and carnival games will also be available.

One of the highlights is the bacon-eating contest, where participants compete to eat 25 pieces of bacon the fastest, with the winner receiving free bacon for a year from Indiana Kitchen Bacon. Additionally, Indiana Kitchen Bacon will have a tent offering samples and selling packages of bacon.

The Indiana Bacon Festival promises a day of fun, food, and community spirit, with proceeds supporting local nonprofits and engaging over 300 volunteers.

Tickets for the festival can be purchased online or at the Delphi branch of First Financial Bank, with discounted prices available until midnight on August 20. The festival begins at 2:30 PM and continues until 11 PM.
