INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Reckless drivers were put on alert over the weekend as police cracked down on spinning in Indianapolis.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department teamed up with Indiana State Police to “address reckless drivers putting our community at risk through spinning and street takeover activity,” IMPD said in a press release Monday.
“These dangerous actions will not be tolerated in Indianapolis. We are committed to holding drivers accountable and ensuring our streets remain safe for everyone,” IMPD said.
In total: 8 people were arrested, 11 citations were issued, 2 stolen cars were recovered, and 2 ordinance violations were given.
