INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Colts lost to the Packers, 23-19, in the second preseason game of the season.
The Colts quarterback competition took center stage at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Colts quarterback Daniel Jones played in the first two drives of the game. He led the Colts to a field goal in the second drive of the game.
He was 7/11 passing for 101 yards.
Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. led the Colts on a 90 yard touchdown drive in his first drive of the game. Richardson was 5/6 passing for 64 yards on the drive, plus a nine yard rush.
Running back Tyler Goodson punched in the touchdown on a three yard rush.
On the last Colts drive of the first half, Richardson completed a beautiful deep ball to Anthony Gould for 38 yards, but it was called back due to an AD Mitchell offsides penalty.
Richardson’s final passing line was 6/11 for 73 yards.
The Colts list of injuries continued to grow on Saturday. Safety Hunter Wohler (foot), offensive tackle Blake Freeland (leg), and running back Tyler Goodson (elbow) all left the game.
Freeland was carted off the field and the entire Colts bench went onto the field to show their support.
The Colts play the Cincinnati Bengals on the road on Saturday, August 23 to wrap up their preseason schedule.
