Join the 22nd annual Race Away from Domestic Violence

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence is hosting the 22nd Annual Race Away From Domestic Violence 5K on Saturday in downtown Indianapolis to raise funds and awareness for domestic violence services.

The event aims to raise $25,000 to support statewide programs that provide housing, counseling, advocacy, and prevention services for survivors of domestic violence. With a $7,000 match opportunity, the race seeks to double donations and has already garnered support from over 200 participants.

Participants in the Race Away From Domestic Violence 5K will run, walk, or roll through a scenic route starting at Michael A. Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis. The event has raised more than $400,000 over the past 20 years for life-saving services and prevention programs.

Registration for the race opens at 7 a.m., with the race beginning at 8 a.m.

The cost to participate is $25 for adults, $15 for youth, and a $20 virtual option is available for those who cannot attend in person. The event will feature survivor stories, interviews with advocates, and various activities for families and children.
