103-year-old minister credits listening to Holy Spirit for long life
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Albert Arnold, an Indianapolis minister, on Tuesday celebrated his 103rd birthday with a special event for friends and family at the Temple of Christ Christian Church.
The celebration was organized to honor Arnold’s long life, which he attributed to obedience and listening to the Holy Spirit.
“There’s a lot of things the world was doing that I didn’t do, and the only thing I’ve learned is obedience. I would listen to what the Holy Spirit would tell me to do. I think that contributed a lot to my life,” Arnold said during the celebration.
Arnold’s wife added, “He never smoked cigarettes or drank liquor.”
Arnold and his wife have been married for over a decade.
