Final $2 Tuesday of the Indiana State Fair kicks off the last week

Last chance for major discounts at Indiana State Fair

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Tuesday marks the beginning of the end for this year’s Indiana State Fair. It’s also a chance to get some big discounts during the final $2 Tuesday.

As the name suggests, admission, midway rides and select concession items are all $2 on Tuesday.

LeRoy Lewis, the fair’s director of community and media engagement, says there are plenty of options for families to have fun.

“$20 will get you full and it gets you happy,” Lewis said. “I’m a traditional guy, so a corn dog would be my favorite. If you can find one of those and an ear of corn, something like that, you should be fine.”

Vendors joined WISH-TV live on Daybreak ahead of the $2 Tuesday. The Baker Man stand by Wilkes Concessions will offer a $2 large coffee.

Owner Trent Wilkes says he was grateful for the weather during opening week. “First week was busy–very successful,” Wilkes said. “All of our friends back here in the swine barn, they were here all weekend. It was packed full. Everybody just came out and had a good time.”

Wilson’s Concessions, co-owned by Leslie Wilson, has six stands throughout the Indiana State Fair. For $2 Tuesday, their offerings range from $2 drinks to $2 pretzel bites.

Wilson says she’s looking forward to a large crowd heading into the final week of the state fair.

“We had awesome weather. It was really, really good weather,” Wilson said. “It was super busy last week, it was a little warmer, but people were still coming out. So I’d say it’s still doing pretty good.”

It’s also Latino Day at the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage. Music starts at 6 p.m. and the headliner, Banda Troyana, will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.

Gates close at 8 p.m. while the fair runs through 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
