INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A male victim is dead after he was found with trauma injuries on the city’s near east side Sunday, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
At 6:56 p.m. Sunday, IMPD East District officers responded to a report of a person stabbed in the 200 block of North State Avenue. That is a residential area on the city’s near east side. Officers arrived and found a male victim with injuries consistent with trauma. Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services arrived and transported the male victim to an area hospital in critical condition.
The male victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators believe this is an isolated incident. No further information has been released.
