INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A wet start to the morning but we will see some dry time heading into the afternoon. It will continue to be warm and muggy for the rest of the work week.
Some moderate to even heavier pockets of rain this morning across parts of Central Indiana. Some spots yesterday picked up several inches of rain across Southern Indiana.
TODAY: The first wave of rain will move through this morning and then we’ll look for some dry time into the afternoon. We’ll see some sunshine. It’s going to be warm and muggy. High temperatures will be climbing into the middle ’80s which is right around normal for this time of the year. We could see a few spotty afternoon showers or thunderstorms. It doesn’t look like we’re going to see any kind of severe weather and many locations will still be dry. These spotty showers will be few and far between.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies overnight tonight It is going to be mild and muggy with lows falling right around 67.
TOMORROW: Sunny and humid heading into your Wednesday. Look for high temperatures to climb into the mid and upper ’80s. Feels like temperatures will be into the lower 90s. An isolated shower or thunderstorm could be possible heading into the afternoon on Wednesday. No severe weather is expected.
7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: It will be dry, sunny and hot heading into the end of the week. Look for high temperatures to climb into the upper 80s flirting with 90° on Thursday. We’ll look for the heat and humidity to continue for the end of the week. Will be flirting close to 90° on Friday under mostly sunny skies. Heat indices or feels like temperatures will be into the low and middle ’90s. We will start off the weekend under partly cloudy skies. It’s going to be hot and humid with temperatures in the upper 80s. On Sunday will look for a chance for some showers and thunderstorms with high temperatures climbing into the upper 80s.
