Turning back toward uncomfortable air this week | Aug. 4, 2025

Mon evening forecast – Aug 4, 2025

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Not too bad of a Monday across a good chunk of central Indiana as we’re coming off of a spectacular weekend. The exception was for areas in southwest central Indiana in which up to 2-4″+ inches of rain fell in spots with near miserably humidity levels.

We’re going to turn back to an uncomfortable setting with gradually increasing temperatures and humidity this week.

Monday night: A few showers may sneak north of I-74 into tonight, but the majority of coverage will be south of I-74.

Lows in the mid 60s.

Tuesday: Hit-and-miss spotty showers and storms will be possible tomorrow, but there will also be plenty of dry time. The muggy meter will ramp up more, which will put us well into the uncomfortable category. Highs are to be near normal with numbers in the mid 80s.

Wednesday: Can’t rule out a spot shower or storm, but we’ll track a mainly dry and uncomfortably humid day with highs once again rising into the mid 80s.

7-Day Forecast: Pushing into the second half of this week, a ridge is going to be in the process of rebuilding near the central Plains. This will nudge some heat into our area with southerly flow becoming more persistent. Highs look to top out in the upper 80s going into the weekend with an elevated muggy meter.
