INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person died in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in a residential neighborhood east of I-465 and south of the interstate’s East 38th Street overpass, Indianapolis police said.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called to a report of a person shot just before 4 p.m. Tuesday just north of the intersection of East 34th Street and Wellington Avenue. That’s in the Glick’s Franklin Road housing addition that’s a few blocks west of the intersection of East 34th Street and North Post Road.
IMPD says the person shot died at the shooting scene.
No additional information about the shooting was immediately available.
