Man killed in crash in Vigo County
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WISH) — Indiana State Police is investigating a fatal crash on the south side of Terre Haute that killed one person and injured three others.
ISP says the crash happened between a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Springhill Drive and McDaniel Road around 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
A Chevrolet car, driven by 70-year-old Rickie Killion, from Sullivan Indiana, failed to stop at a red traffic signal. Police say Killion tried to turn south onto McDaniel Road, when the car was struck by a Ford pickup truck.
The crash made Killion’s car rollover, then stop on it’s wheels.
The driver of the Ford truck, 67-year-old Kenneth Sullivan, and two others were taken to the hospital. Killion later died in the hospital from his injuries.
ISP says drugs and alcohol are not believed to be involved in the incident.
