INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A shooting on the near westside of Indianapolis killed a woman in 2023. After investigating for two years, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says they’ve arrested a suspect.
June 26, 2023, IMPD responded to a shooting in the 500 block of North Tremont Avenue, near Haughville Park on West Michigan Street. 24-year-old Jordyn Pierce was shot and later died in the hospital.
“After an in-depth two-year investigation, detectives identified Clayton Bryan as a suspect in the homicide,” IMPD posted on Facebook Monday.
When police identified Bryan, 31, as the suspect, he was already incarcerated for a prior armed robbery.
Byran now faces two new charges, murder and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
