INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –  A little patchy fog to start off your Monday morning. We’ll look for some sunshine later this afternoon with warm and humid conditions continuing through much of the work week.

The warmest temperature that we’ve seen in the state happened on this date 89 years ago. 

We had some rain overnight and with the higher humidity values in light winds that is a perfect recipe for foggy conditions this morning. Rainfall amounts were around a half an inch in Indianapolis. That brings our total for the month more than an inch. But we are still about 3/4 of an inch below normal for the month.

We will look for some of that fog to lift later this morning and we will break out into some sunshine.

TODAY: Look for partly cloudy skies later this afternoon. There is a chance we could see an isolated shower south of Indianapolis into the afternoon and evening hours. High temperatures will be climbing into the mid-80s but it’ll feel more like the ’90s with the higher humidity values.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy, mild and muggy. Could see a little bit of patchy fog developing later tonight. Low temperatures will be into the lower 70s.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy skies on your Tuesday spotty hit or miss shower or thunderstorm will be possible into the afternoon and evening hours. It is going to continue to be very muggy. High temperatures will be in the upper ’80s but feels like temperatures will be into the lower 90s.

7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Humidity values stay high for the rest of the work week. We will look for scattered rain chances heading into Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will be into the mid and upper ’80s but feels like temperatures will be into the lower 90s. More shower and thunderstorm chances will be here on Friday and we will continue to see spotty rain chances into the weekend.
