INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Grifols Plasma Center in Indianapolis is hosting a back-to-school resource fair on Saturday, July 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This event is part of Mayor Joe Hogsett’s Gun Violence Reduction Strategy, which includes community engagement initiatives like Peace Pop-ups to address the root causes of crime. The fair will provide free school supplies, clothing, shoes, toiletries, and access to local resources for families and youth.
The Grifols Plasma Center has partnered with Indy Peace and other local organizations to strengthen community ties and provide essential resources. This collaboration is part of a broader effort to create a hub for healing and support in the community.
In a news release organizers said, “This event is more than a typical back-to-school giveaway. It represents Grifols’ commitment to resilience and healing after experiencing gun violence at their establishment in October 2024. Rather than stepping back, the center is stepping forward, demonstrating to the community that they are here to stay and support.”
Through events like the Back-to-School Resource Fair, the Grifols Plasma Center and its partners are working to foster community resilience and support, aligning with broader efforts to reduce violence and enhance public safety in Indianapolis.
