INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives on Thursday arrested a 30-year-old man for possessing multiple illegal firearms and dealing narcotics.
On Tuesday, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s Northwest District Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF) obtained information indicating that a prohibited person, identified as 30-year-old Levell Biles, was in possession of multiple firearms and involved in narcotics dealing.
Detectives conducted surveillance, observing Biles in possession of a handgun while facilitating the illegal side of narcotics. VCTF detectives prepared and were granted a warrant for his residence and his arrest.
On Thursday, VCTF detectives and the IMPD Violent Reduction Team, with assistance from the Special Weapons and Tactics Team, executed the search warrant at Biles’ residence in the 6900 block of Stratton Square. During the operation, Biles was taken into custody.
While executing the search warrant, detectives found the following items:
- $4,450 in U.S. currency.
- Six firearms – one reported stolen.
- 10.13 pounds of marijuana.
- 84.8 grams of pressed methamphetamine pills.
- 20 grams of powdered cocaine.
Biles was preliminarily charged with unlawful carry of a handgun with a prior conviction, possession of cocaine with the intent to deal, narcotics dealing, possession of marijuana over 10 pounds, and manufacturing of methamphetamine.
