INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Sunny skies again today with incredibly hot and humid air in place. Some showers and thunderstorms head in our direction for the weekend with temperature still well above normal.
We did hit 90 degrees yesterday making it the 13th 90 degree day that we have seen so far this year. The average is about 20 days.
TODAY: Lots of sunshine for today. It is going to be incredibly hot and humid. We could see an isolated shower possible across parts of the state but most spots should be dry. We will look for high temperatures into the lower 90s across parts of the state. Feels like temperatures will be into the mid-90s.
TONIGHT: If you are going to the Dave Matthews band concert or the Indians game be sure that you are staying hydrated. It will be incredibly uncomfortable with high humidity values.
Mostly clear, mild and muggy tonight we’ll see low temperatures in the lower 70s.
TOMORROW: We’re tracking a cold front that will move across the state on Saturday. This will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms across the state. Some of those thunderstorms could contain some gusty winds and some heavy rainfall as well. There is a marginal risk in place for the entire state. This is a level 1 out of a level 5.
It is going to be very hot and humid. Highs will be near 90 but feels like temperatures will be in the upper 90s to 100.
7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: On Sunday a spotty shower thunderstorm is still possible with temperatures into the mid ’80s. Heading into early next week and looks like we will see a couple of dry days. Temperatures will still be on the warmer side into the mid and upper ’80s with high humidity values.
