Motorcyclist dies after west side crash
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One person died early Thursday after a motorcycle hit a vehicle that was stalled from an earlier crash on the west side of Indianapolis.
Indiana State Police say the first crash happened around 12:45 a.m. when a car hit a retaining wall in the southbound lanes of I-465 near Sam Jones Expressway.
About 10 minutes later, a motorcycle hit the stalled vehicle.
The motorcyclist died and the driver of the car was injured, state police tell News 8.
Parts of southbound I-465 were closed for several hours for police investigation and cleanup.
No other information was immediately available.
