IMPD: No one found inside submerged vehicle
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Crews from the Indianapolis Fire Department worked Thursday morning to pull a submerged car from a pond on the city’s west side.
Police and firefighters responded around 5:45 a.m. to a possible dive rescue at North Lynhurst Drive and Greensward Lane. That’s a residential area just west of Thatcher Park near the I-465/10th Street interchange.
Dive crews checked the vehicle and didn’t find anyone inside, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says.
The car was pulled from the pond and hauled away.
Police did not say how or when the car ended up in the water.
