2 sentenced to 17 years in federal prison for armed carjackings
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two Indianapolis men have been sentenced to 17 years in federal prison for a series of armed carjackings targeting Uber drivers.
Bryant Hoskins, 20, and Samuel Fancher, 19, committed two violent carjackings in May 2024, according to court documents. The men targeted Uber drivers working late at night, calling for a pickup and then robbing the drivers at gunpoint.
During one of the carjacking attempts, a driver was shot.
Both Hoskins and Fancher pleaded guilty to two counts of carjacking, as well as charges related to brandishing and discharging a firearm.
