WESTFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — A groundbreaking on Thursday celebrated the start of a $27 million development designed to bring apartments, retail and restaurant spaces to the east side of downtown Westfield.
Located at the northeast corner of State Road 32/Main Street and East Street, Ambrose on Main is set to feature 87 one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments along with nearly 13,000 square feet of commercial space. The effort from Fishers-based Rebar Development also intends to have a 6,000-square-foot plaza and courtyard area, a 2,000-square-foot rooftop patio, and a restaurant with outdoor seating.
Designs call for residents to have access to a work-from-home lounge, an indoor-outdoor cafe, a fitness center, indoor bike storage, and a pet spa.
Features in the apartments are to include quartz counters, stainless steel appliances, tile backsplash in kitchens, and tile surrounds in showers and tubs.
Construction of Ambrose on Main should be completed by late 2026.
Westfield government leaders have planned a roundabout improvement project at the intersection of State Road 32/Main Street and East Street to coincide with the development’s construction.
Republican Mayor Scott Willis, in a statement, called the project an anchor for the east side of downtown.
