INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Early morning gunfire on the northeast side of Indianapolis left two people injured, police said.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded around 3:45 a.m. Thursday to a disturbance at an apartment complex in the Avondale Meadows neighborhood, just west of 42nd Street and Sherman Drive.
Officers arrived and found two shooting victims — one who had been grazed and another who was more seriously wounded but awake, IMPD says.
One person was detained for questioning. Police have not said if they are a suspect in the shooting.
No other information was immediately available.
