INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person died Friday after their vehicle struck a tree near an intersection on the city’s east side, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
At 4:22 p.m. Friday, IMPD East District officers responded to the intersection of East 30th Street and North Bolton Avenue on a report of a personal injury accident. That is near a residential area on the city’s east side. Officers arrived and found at least one vehicle had struck a tree. Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services medics arrived and transported the driver of the vehicle to an area hospital in critical condition.
Shortly after arrival, the driver was pronounced dead at the hospital by medical personnel.
Investigators did not immediately provide any additional information on this incident.
