INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Black Expo summer celebration is in full swing at the Indiana Convention Center, showcasing black excellence in arts, entertainment, culture, and community.
This year’s Expo features a variety of events, including the Cultural Arts Pavilion and the Style Zone, which highlight local artists and entrepreneurs.
“We really want to create a platform where entrepreneurs, inspiring, seasoned entrepreneurs will all come together,” Nikki Blaine said, an Indianapolis-based fashion designer involved in the Expo.
The Cultural Arts Pavilion is located in rooms 142 to 144 at the Indiana Convention Center, where Art Speeds Cafe is hosted.
The Style Zone focuses on lifestyle and fashion, aiming to network and build brand awareness among entrepreneurs.
A highlight of the Expo is the all-white party on Saturday night, featuring a live performance by Da Brat and hosted by Lawrence Tate.
The Music Inheritance Festival is another major event, with Keith Sweat headlining and performances by SWV and Cameo.
The Expo provides a platform for over 30 visual artists and numerous local performers, emphasizing community building and networking.
The Black Expo summer celebration continues to empower the community by providing a free platform for artists and entrepreneurs to connect and grow.
