Mural celebrating Indiana Fever legend Tamika Catchings unveiled
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A new mural in the Massachusetts Avenue neighborhood is honoring legendary Indiana Fever forward Tamika Catchings.
On Wednesday night, the Indy Arts Council and WNBA All-Star 2025 Host Committee held a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new mural.
Artist Nate Baranowski, from South Bend, Indiana, created the mural.
“The mural is beautiful,” Catchings told News 8 Sports’ Andrew Chernoff. “Artists – Nate, Brooke (McGee), and Chris (Carlson) did an amazing job.”
Catchings played all 15 seasons of her WNBA career with the Fever. She is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
